The problem is that the more you are running your air conditioner the less you will get out of your gas per gallon. The gas is something that will be used to not only run the engine but to run the other components that help to cool the car down as well. If you see that your gas light is on and you are not close to a gas station you may want to conserve what you have left. The gas that you have left will be used up faster with the AC running so that is why you should turn on the AC or the heater until you are able to get to a gas station.
